Chris Speck brings over 25 years of experience in the Construction and Manufacturing industries, having held diverse leadership roles that demonstrate his expertise and strategic vision. As a Chief Operating Officer, he managed multiple manufacturing sites and construction teams, with P&L responsibilities exceeding $75 million for a division of a $4 billion Building Materials and Construction company. In this capacity, Chris consistently delivered results by driving operational excellence and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Throughout his career, Chris has enhanced both operational and commercial processes across the United States and Canada. His efforts have generated millions in profits through increased revenue, improved margins, and the successful execution of innovative systems. Most recently, Chris has excelled as the Director of Construction Services for a leading precast concrete manufacturer, serving clients across multifamily, storage, and hospitality sectors.

Chris’s expertise spans business development, fiscal management, process improvement, and strategic capital expenditure. Known for his ability to streamline operations and enhance profitability, he has a proven track record of fostering sustainable growth. His leadership style emphasizes building high-performing teams and navigating complex business challenges with confidence and precision.

Leighton Burrey is a tax attorney. He practices in Orinda, California. He graduated from the University of California, at Davis before pursuing military service in the U.S. Marine Corps, followed by pursuing a career in law. He also has a master’s of law in taxation. His personal experience of long hours in law and desire to achieve financial independence for his family led him to Apartment Investing. He realized he needed to reclaim his time and practice law on his own terms.
